Rehabilitation of the EN 120

After four years of standstill, rehabilitation work has officially resumed on the National Road 120 (EN 120), which connects Ondjiva to the town of Omala, in the commune of Evale, Cunene province.

Name of the Project: Rehabilitation of the EN 120

Location of the Work: Evale Commune, Cunene

Description of what it is and what it aims to achieve: This work will be carried out over 18 months. The intervention includes earthworks, drainage, hydraulic passages, and horizontal and vertical signage along the 80 kilometers that make up the section.

The EN 120 is considered a strategic axis, as it connects the provinces of Cunene and Huíla and integrates the SADC road corridor. The aim is to improve the movement of people and goods, facilitate the flow of agricultural production, and ensure safe traffic conditions.

The project, which has already generated more than 200 jobs, represents a milestone in the region’s infrastructure, promising to significantly transform mobility and local development.

Cost of the work: over 67 billion kwanzas
