North-South Highway
A memorandum of understanding was signed for the project to build a highway that will connect the north and south of Angola, stretching 1,300 km from the province of Uíge to Cunene.

Description of what it is and what it aims to achieve: This project represents a milestone for the country and brings positive expectations for the road infrastructure. The next step after the signing of the memorandum will be to carry out studies and projects to define the construction of the highway, followed by a bidding process to select the construction company.
In addition to improving the local road network, it will boost economic development and facilitate the connection with the Democratic Republic of Congo to the north and Namibia to the south.
This agreement represents yet another milestone in relations between Angola and China and adds value to public-private partnerships in the public works sector. In addition, it once again places this type of partnership at the center of the country’s economic and social development, attracting private investment for projects of this type.
