Centralidade do Tucuve
This work was suspended for more than three years for technical and financial reasons, but was resumed about a year and a half ago and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
Work on the Tucuve centre is more than 50 % complete.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Name of Work: Centralidade do Tucuve
Location of Work: Municipality of Menongue – Cuando Cubango
Description of what it is and what it aims to achieve: Work began in 2017, but was paralysed in the same year and resumed in June 2022.The Centralidade do Tucuve is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
The first phase will consist of 14 buildings with 4 floors each, 212 apartments T2 and T3 type that will house more than 1,000 residents.
There are also plans for roads, green spaces, public lighting, sewers for rainwater disposal and car parks.
It is worth noting that the project has created 120 jobs, mostly for young people from Cuando Cubango province.
