Main Military Hospital – Higher Institute – Luanda
The first phase of construction of Luanda’s Main Military Hospital was inaugurated at the beginning of April this year by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
This first stage of construction was justified by the need to urgently upgrade and equip the hospital, given its level of physical degradation and technological outdatedness, and also to guarantee efficient care for its beneficiaries.

Description of what it is and what it aims to achieve: This hospital represents one of the main hospital and academic units of reference and will certainly live up to the prestige that the Armed Forces have earned over the years.
The inauguration of this new infrastructure comprises two buildings, each with four floors, five operating theatres, an oxygen production centre and 160 inpatient beds. In addition, the buildings house services such as a reception area, snack bar, emergency service, 19 observation rooms, imaging, orthopaedics, laboratory and a 90-space car park.
