Centralidade General Txizainga – 1st phase
The first phase of the new General Txizainga housing complex has been officially inaugurated in the province of Lunda Sul, as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence.

Name of the Work: Centralidade General Txizainga
Location of Work: Cassengo Municipality, Lunda Sul
Description of what it is and what it aims to achieve: This initial project aims to benefit around 1270 residents, and includes 212 apartments, commercial establishments, a drinking water and wastewater treatment plant, a power station and other social support facilities.
Beginning in 2017, this project is designed to offer a variety of public and private services, such as health centers, children’s play areas, police stations, stores and green areas.
According to Amílcar Lutucuta, national director of land management and housing, the second phase of the project will see the construction of 1,400 new homes.
