Cacuaco General Hospital HERÓIS DE KIFANGONDO
With construction beginning in 2021, this new hospital was inaugurated on 19 July. Located in the central town of Sequele, Cacuaco, it will provide specialised medical services, including advanced surgery, haemodialysis, intensive care, magnetic resonance imaging and oncology, catering for patients of all ages.

Description of what it is and what it aims to achieve: This new hospital has 300 beds and several highly complex services, such as the paediatric oncology block with 34 beds. It employs 1.200 professionals, from technicians and doctors (157) to administrative staff. The new tertiary level unit has high quality, with ultra modern equipment, the best in the country, in both the private and public sectors, which will help reduce the transfer of patients abroad.
Cost of the work: 185 million euros
