Centralidade Teresa Afonso Gomes

The first phase of this housing development has already been completed and will initially have around 500 flats. The centralidade de Bucula, now called “Teresa Afonso Gomes”, in honour of one of the land’s heroines, is part of an urban development strategy for the region, aimed at providing citizens with better infrastructures and living conditions.

Name of Work: Centralidade Teresa Afonso Gomes (Bucula)

Location of the Work: Caxito – município do Dande.

Description of what it is and what it aims to achieve : The Centralidade do Bucula in Caxito will have 80 buildings, which will comprise around 1,000 flats. In addition, this housing development will have 70 shops and a series of social facilities, such as a primary school, a medical centre, a police station, a multi-purpose field, a kindergarten and a football pitch, according to the Bengo Provincial Government.

Cost of the work: budgeted at 182.9 million dollars, plus 4.5 million dollars for the supervision contract.

Contractor: Mitrelli, of the Israeli group Menomadin. Financing provided by Luminar Finance.
